About Bamboo Breakthrough
Bamboo Breakthrough: The Next Frontier 2026–2035 is the Bamboo Society of Australia's ten-year roadmap for an Australian structural engineered bamboo industry.
About the Bamboo Society of Australia
The national voice for Australia's bamboo industry
Established in 1998 and incorporated in Queensland in 1999, the BSA began with a focus on horticulture and agriculture and has evolved into a commitment to harness bamboo's potential across multiple sectors — from regenerative building materials and land restoration to textiles, biochar and bio-based fuels.
The BSA advances research, education and standards, and is working towards establishing a national resource centre connecting growers, researchers, architects, policymakers and communities.
